Attention:  ALL ASPIRING DJs...

Starting May 1, 2006 we are going to begin talking to energetic, fun-loving, music-loving people from all over the Southeastern Lower Michigan area who are interested in coming to work for Jyl Forsyth Productions as paid mobile DJ Apprentices. 

If you have the "right stuff", you will eventually become full-fledged DJs working your own gigs.  We will set up your bookings, provide all equipment, music and tuxedos , a gig-mobile (the van or truck), and always be ready to back you up if you have problems at a gig. 

We are NOT looking for established, working DJs (sorry).  We are only interested in outgoing, energetic, people-loving people who want to learn the mobile DJ biz from the very best in the biz:  Jyl Forsyth and her business manager/partner Brett Blanchard. 

The only qualifications are a neat appearance, a positive outlook, a healthy lifestyle, a ready smile, and the willingness to work hard to get the party started and keep it rocking all night long. 

You must be utterly dependable, teachable,  articulate, trustworthy, able to lift about 30 lbs, have a reliable mobile phone, possess a valid Michigan driver's license with NO restrictions and/or conditions (we will check), and be willing to work weekends until the wee hours.  Your love of music should span all types and generations.

You will learn this business from the ground up:  setting up and dismantling equipment at gigs,  how to play appropriate dinner music, how to use lighting and special effects, introducing brides/grooms/wedding parties, guests of honor, and public speakers. 

You will discover how to get a party fired up, and manage the energy of your audience.  You will learn valuable people skills, business skills, and technical skills from professionals with over twenty years experience.
